SHAME ON McCAIN

By Roger Stone

It is with much relief to hear that Senator John McCain is back in the senate after his brain surgery.  The speed of his recuperation is amazing for anyone, especially a man of his 80 years.  Although we were saddened and concerned when the announcement told us of his medical issues, we continue to hold the opinion that Senator McCain is not only a thorn in President Trump’s side, but a hypocrite and back stabber as well.  Harsh words?  Let’s take a look at what the problem with McCain is.

Firstly, it should be no secret that McCain harbors a deep jealous contempt for President Trump for winning the votes of his party.  McCain has tried for years to get that honor.  McCain feels he’s more qualified to be the leader of the free world, he feels he’s more presidential than Mr. Trump and he made his point perfectly clear when he announced that he would not be attending the Republican National Convention in April of 2016.

McCain is revered by many republicans for his honesty and maverick opinions and ideals.  So when John McCain publicly disrespects the President-elect it reveals a weak and divided  GOP.  Yet McCain has stated several times how Trump is hurting the GOP brand and more recently that Obama was better than Trump “as far as American leadership was concerned.”   McCain and Trump have been trading verbal jabs, both private and public since early 2015.  For a detailed list of these criticisms you can follow the link.

There are much more serious concerns over John McCain than his disrespect and lack of loyalty to his president.

THE McCAIN CONNECTION TO THE FAKE RUSSIAN DOSSIER

Back in May, it was McCain who called for creating a special congressional committee to investigate whether Trump had colluded with the Russians to influence the 2016 election.  “Removal of Director Comey only confirms need for select committee to investigate”  McCain tweeted.  These were serious charges as we know.

What shows McCain’s backstabbing hatred for Trump and the level of  his viscous hypocrisy is that unbeknownst at that time, it was John McCain who  practically started this whole Trump/ Russian collusion thing in the first place.  What’s is now known fact is that  McCain deliberately passed a dossier on Trump/Russia collusion to the FBI which he new to be a complete fake.

As far back as January 17, 2017 McCain said on Fox & Friends  “The fact that this un-validated document, to say the least was leaked -it’s somebody’s responsibility.”  “The very fact that it was leaked, one, is a commentary on this town,” he said.  “Second, [It is]  totally wrong to have that out.”  “It is an un-validated document that is damning out there among the American public without any validation whatsoever. And so it’s harmful to the president of the United States.”  Sounds to me like he’s defending the president.  Calling for a congressional investigation one minute and denouncing the leaked dossier the next reveals his plan to discredit and possibly impeach President Trump.  It shows what a deranged and bitter man McCain really is.  Sore loser anybody?  It gets worse.

McCAIN LEAKS FAKE FILES

New details from a related lawsuit show how David Kramer—employed by the nonprofit and purportedly non-political McCain Institute—acted as a representative of McCain in the Arizona senator’s dealings on sensitive intelligence measures. It also reveals that McCain was one of a just few people with whom the dossier’s author, ex-British spy Christopher Steele, shared a copy of his final findings.  The dossier was prepared by Steele in December 2016 from work he had done for Fusion GPS, a consulting firm paid by anti Trump Republicans and by Hillary Clinton supporters to create evidence of Trump’s alleged financial and political ties to Russia.

It amounted to a collection of uncorroborated reports of collusion gathered as political research for sale to Trump’s opponents.  Former British ambassador to Moscow Sir Andrew Wood admitted to discussing the dossier with McCain who then obtained it through other channels.   The”other channels” turns out to be David Kramer and according to the lawsuit “arranged to meet with Sir Andrew, as the representative of Senator McCain in order to show him the pre-election memorandum on a confidential basis.”

The court document goes on to show that it was Sir Andrew Wood’s understanding that “the Trump dossier would only be used by Senator McCain in his official capacity for the sole purpose of analyzing, investigating, and verifying their contents.”  So what did the good senator do?   He gives it to FBI Director Comey who then starts an investigation into Russian collusion.  I guess McCain forgot to mention that the dossier was fabricated by an ex British spy funded by Clinton supporters and anti Trump Republicans.  It gets even worse.  The same foreign lobbyists and Russians tied to the Trump probe were once associated to Senator John McCain when he ran for president.

McCAIN’S RUSSIAN COLLUSION

McCain’s situation involved the same foreign lobbyist Paul Manafort; one of the same Russian oligarchs, Oleg Deripaska; the same Russian diplomat, Sergey Kislyak, and the same wily Russian leader, Vladimir Putin, that are being investigated in the Trump probe.  The only real difference in the two cases is that the FBI has said there is no evidence to date that Trump ever met with a Russian figure banned from the United States.  McCain actually met with Deripaska, a Russian businessman whose visa was blocked by the US because of concerns by the Intelligence Community over his ties to Moscow.  McCain was warned by US Intelligence about these connections.

McCain met with Deripaska on two occasions.  The meetings were set up by Paul Manafort and his partner Rick Davis.  Davis would later become McCain’s campaign manager.  .“My sense is that Davis and Manafort, who were already doing pro-Putin work against American national interests, were using potential meetings with McCain — who didn’t know this and neither did we until after the fact — as bait to secure more rubles from the oligarchs,” John Weaver, one of McCain’s top advisers at the time, told Circa in an interview this month.

While McCain was loudly pressing for a Trump investigation he was keeping quiet about his own ties to those who sought Russian influence in America.   McCain has stated in his own defense that in giving the (fake) dossier to Comey, he was doing what he thought was the right thing.  “Liar” I say.  He knew that if he gave it to Comey then an investigation would eventually happen.

We’re glad that McCain is back at work.  It would have been a shame if we lost him.  As it is now, there is still time to drag his ass in front of the inquisitors and expose him for what he really is, a bitter, resentful, backstabbing, manipulator whose time is almost up.

Mad Maxine: The Wicked Witch Of The West

Mad Maxine has sponsored and written little legislation while being the district’s representative. Yet, she is still being allowed to collect a check from the Federal Government, for doing nothing but resisting President Trump.

By Taylor Foland

Many Americans are sick and tired of the Democratic Party, also known as: the Democratic Plantation. Maxine Waters, the liberal left’s figurehead of “the resistance” is up to no good, yet again. She addressed an audience on Saturday, July 1st, 2017 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the ESSENCE Festival.

She aimed her hate at Dr. Carson by stating: “Carson knows nothing about the mission of HUD”, “doesn’t care about people in public housing”, “he believes that if you’re poor, it is your own fault”, and “he doesn’t know the difference between an immigrant and a slave.” She then threatened the HUD Secretary by saying that when Mr. Carson appears before my committee: “I am going to take his ass apart.”

This should NOT be the conduct of a member of the Congress. The 43rd District of California has been gripped with poverty, and homelessness. While the homeless roam the streets, Waters lives in one of the most luxurious neighborhoods in Los Angeles, in a 4.3-million-dollar, 4,000 square foot home. This is puzzling, because Waters has been the district’s representative since 2013, and has been in politics 37 years, yet keeps getting re-elected. How is this possible?

Mad Maxine has sponsored and written little legislation while being the district’s representative. Yet, she is still being allowed to collect a check from the Federal Government, for doing nothing but resisting President Trump. She’s been in Washington D.C. for over twenty years! What does she have to show for all this work in the Congress? In all her recent votes, not one of them was on combating the poverty and homelessness within her own district. On her official biography on her website, there is not one single piece of legislation listed that she has written and fought to pass.

Her bio simply states: “Throughout her 37 years of public service, Maxine Waters has been on the cutting edge, tackling difficult and often controversial issues. She has combined her strong legislative and public policy acumen and high visibility in Democratic Party activities with an unusual ability to do grassroots organizing.” It only lists what she did during her 14 years in the California State Assembly, that’s it. She has made: “IMPEACH 45!” her only message to Americans.

Homelessness is actually the biggest problem in her district. Let’s look at the facts of District 43 in California, when it comes to people WITHOUT housing. According to the Los Angeles Times, the homelessness rate in Los Angeles County has jumped to 23%. Inglewood, California is in Southwestern LA County, its homelessness problem is growing also. According to the South Bay Coalition To End Homelessness, in a study recorded on January 28, 2015 there were: (at least) 555 total persons in the City of Inglewood alone that were homeless.

In their study, South Bay Coalition surveyed different areas around, and in the district to record the number of the homeless in 2015. Their results speak volumes: the most densely populated areas where people are unsheltered are: Wilmington (465), West Athens (277), Inglewood (262), San Pedro (246), and Redondo Beach (165). Areas with the highest number of persons living in vehicles: Wilmington (241), Harbor Gateway (131), Carson (124), San Pedro (89), and West Athens (73). Areas with the highest number of persons on the street: Wilmington (224), Inglewood (207), West Athens (204), San Pedro (157), and Redondo Beach (97). In the greater Los Angeles area: 2,986 were counted as homeless. When the study was conducted, 78% were unsheltered.

South Bay also released their homeless numbers for 2016, the numbers are up from 2015, increasing by 22%, close to the reporting of the LA Times. Numbers have increased from 3,006 in 2015, to 3,663. According to their official page, South Bay released statistics between 2013-2016, in which they found that there was a 103% increase “in the number of people living in an unsheltered situation.

Given this data, you would think that the Congresswoman would have a section on her website dedicated to combating homelessness, wouldn’t you? No, she has no information in her issues that deals with combating homelessness at all. She only brings homelessness up on her official website by saying: “Homelessness has increased by 20 percent in Los Angeles since 2014, and this proposal had the potential to put more people at risk of becoming homeless” (referring to a public housing sector dispute with Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles).

Maxine Waters goes on to list more nonsense on her “leadership.” She has been labeled as a: “poverty pimp” within her own district. With the problems of poverty and homelessness gripping her district, and across the district line in Venice Beach, hopefully the good people of the forty-third District will vote her out.

Maxine Waters opponent Omar Navarro.

Omar Navarro, is challenging Waters for her seat in 2018, and is gaining more ground in the forty-third district with each passing day. Omar Navarro’s campaign slogan: “Fighting For Your Family” is a welcome change for once in the district, since Maxine Waters has been representing the state of California for over twenty years, and has little to show for it. (Except a 4.3-million-dollar mansion.)

Before Maxine Waters was the queen of the snowflake army in the west, she didn’t live in a 4.3-million-dollar mansion. It begs the question: ‘how does somebody enter politics, and then becomes richer, now, than the day they went in?’

The basic answer to this question is very simple: there are two types of people who run for office: (especially at the federal level) the first category of people are the ones who are interested in upholding the checks and balances in our government, and then there is the other category of people: the ones who are interested in getting the CHECKS.

In conclusion, the Liberal Democrats are obstructionists. Maxine Waters is a massive hypocrite, and she is completely insane. NO, Mad Maxine, it’s YOU who doesn’t understand the poor! Maxine, before you attack Dr. Carson, look at your own leadership in your district.

On November 6th, 2018, there will be a reckoning at the polls, there will be a rapture at the ballot box. Maxine, on November 6th, 2018 the people of the forty-third district are going to vote you out! Can you imagine if Maxine Waters and Omar Navarro have a televised debate? That would be interesting!

JEFF SESSIONS MARIJUANA OBSESSION VS TRUMP’S PLEDGE

AG shifts strategy to target medicinal marijuana

By Roger Stone

The New York Times of Sunday, July 16 brought chilling new evidence that Trump attorney general Jeff Sessions, in direct contradiction of the position stated by Donald J Trump when he was a candidate, plans a federal crackdown on marijuana in the 29 states that have legalized some form of its use. At a campaign rally in Sparks, Nevada on Oct. 29, 2015, Trump said: “The marijuana thing is such a big thing. I think medical should happen — right? Don’t we agree? I think so. And then I really believe we should leave it up to the states. It should be a state situation … but I believe that the legalization of marijuana – other than for medical because I think medical, you know I know people that are very, very sick and for whatever reason, the marijuana really helps them – … but in terms of marijuana and legalization, I think that should be a state issue, state-by-state.”

According to the Times, attorney general Sessions plans a 1960s style relaunch of the discredited “War on Drugs” which has proved to be an ignominious and expensive failure which has neither stemmed or slowed drug trafficking and abuse nor has rehabilitated victims while leading to mass incarceration of an entire generation of minority Americans for the nonviolent offense of possession of small amounts of drugs.

Business man Donald Trump’s skepticism about the war on drugs goes back many years with the real estate titan telling Playboy in an interview that the war on drugs program has been a failure in view of its massive financial cause for interdiction, prosecution and long term incarceration. Trump said at the time that “legalization is the obvious answer”.

Even though candidate Donald Trump pledged during the campaign to support state’s rights when it comes to the question of state legalization of marijuana, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Homeland Security John Kelly egged on by New Jersey Governor Chris Christi has been not so quietly promoting a coming crackdown on state legalized cannabis.

The Session’s strategy is even shiftier and more nefarious than originally reported. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer first floated the idea of a Trump administration crackdown on marijuana in a White House press briefing but Spicer said that the administration’s concern was not with medical marijuana but with the nine states that have now approved the legal use of marijuana for recreational purposes. Spicer seemed oblivious to the point that the arduous process of state legalization is for recreation marijuana is identical to the process of legalization for medicinal marijuana and both require the overwhelming support of the voters or the legislatures in the states that have taken this step.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions real plan was exposed when he asked the U.S. Congress to rescind a rider that the House attached to an Appropriations Bill that would have prohibited the Justice Department under Sessions from conducting a crackdown on medicinal marijuana.

The position of the Attorney General not only ignores the will of the people in the 29 states that have legalized some form of cannabis but it ignores the billions in revenue to states and counties who are balancing their books and paying for vital public services from taxes collected on legalized cannabis. It also ignores the hundreds of thousands of jobs in what is today a multi-billion-dollar industry. A crackdown on marijuana is most certainly not going to make America great again economically. More importantly, Mr. Sessions’ plan directly contradicts the expressed position of the President while a candidate. Donald Trump is popular with the American people because he says what he means and he means what he says.

Even more appalling is the fact that drug warriors like Sessions, Kelly and Christi refuse to acknowledge that the war on drugs has failed. The so called war on drugs has clogged our courts and prisons, cost taxpayers billions and had no effect on the incidents of illegal drug use in the United States.

The effects of legalization, on the other hand, have proven to be most beneficial. Opioid deaths have dropped sharply in the states that have legalized cannabis as have an opioid addiction and opioid related crime. In fact, petty crime from breaking and entering to armed robbery has also dropped dramatically in the states that have legalized cannabis. Just as importantly the 29 states that have legalized cannabis are experiencing an incredible windfall in revenues to states and counties with Colorado and California essentially balancing their state and county budgets with the proceeds from cannabis generated tax collections. Additionally, what is now a multi-billion dollar industry is generation thousands of new jobs in the states where the voters and the elected officials have had the wisdom to legalize cannabis.

President Trump made a solid decision when he stood up for State’s Rights on the question of marijuana legalization. I believe that Trump did marginally better with younger voters than either Romney or McCain based on this stance. It is important to understand that millions of Americans are counting on cannabis as a medication to address a broad action of illnesses and maladies. The idea that we would deny veterans with PTSD cannabis if it eased their suffering is outrageous.

All of this explains why I have joined with a number of prominent Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Progressives to form the United States Cannabis Coalition. I am proud to say that John Morgan, Orlando attorney, who single-handedly mounted a dogged multi-election effort to legalize medical marijuana in Florida has joined me in this important effort. John feels very strongly that Republicans and Democrats must put partisan politics aside so that millions will have the option of marijuana therapy for debilitating illnesses.

The narrow purpose of this ad hoc effort is to urge the President to protect State’s Rights in the 29 states that have legalized the sale and availability of cannabis. Specifically, the President should direct the Attorney General to continue to abide by the Obama-era Justice Department policy to withhold enforcement that they would withhold enforcement of the Federal law in the states where State and Federal law have a contradiction on the sale and dispensary of cannabis. This was a good call by Attorney General Eric Holder, saving tax payers millions for Federal enforcement and potentially putting people in jail for selling or using medicinal marijuana. Sessions planned crackdown on marijuana would reverse these orders. The President must instruct him to back off to fulfill his pledge to the millions of Americans who support him based on his promise to protect their access all natural medicine they need.

Candidate Trump met with parents whose children’s epilepsy was effectively treated with a certain strain of marijuana. He knows that millions count on legal access to cannabis as a legitimate and effective form of medicine. Candidate Trump made an important and courageous declaration that he would protect the states’ rights to guarantee access to cannabis for its medical benefits if that is what the voters chose.

We at the United States cannabis coalition also hope to persuade the President to reschedule cannabis removing it as a Class 1 drug where it is grouped with heroin and other more damaging drugs so that physicians across the country could legally prescribe cannabis or its derivatives to their patients who would derive medial benefit. A bold move by President Trump would prove to be extremely popular and would disarm many of his critics – in short, both a public policy and political ten-strike.

EXCLUSIVE: ROGER STONE RESPONDS TO OBAMA’S LAWSUIT AGAINST HIM AND PRESIDENT TRUMP

Unfounded attack against Stone and POTUS represents yet another desperate attempt to dismiss Trump’s election win

Infowars.com – JULY 13, 2017

Alex Jones discuss the Democrat establishment’s outrageous lawsuit aimed at Roger Stone as well as the Trump campaign.

Exclusive: Roger Stone Responds To Obama's Lawsuit Against Him And President Trump

Posted by Alex Jones on Wednesday, July 12, 2017

The lawsuit, introduced by “Protect Democracy,” a group run by former Obama administration lawyers, is absurdly alleging that Stone and the Trump campaign somehow conspired with Russia to have their personal information exposed in the trove of Democratic emails and files released by WikiLeaks last year.

The New York Times noted Wednesday that the 44-page complaint “does not contain any hard evidence” whatsoever of collusion, but instead seeks to “depose witnesses and obtain campaign emails and other documents…”

Stone has called the move “a publicity play” and has instructed his attorneys to “seek sanctions against the lawyers involved for the filing of a ridiculous frivolous lawsuit.”

The unfounded attack against Stone and the president represents yet another desperate attempt to dismiss Trump’s election win.

Congressman Jamie Raskin: Rejects Democracy for Americans But Pushes for Non-Citizen Voting

Congressman Jamie Raskin of Maryland – The man who rejects democracy for Americans but pushes for non-citizen voting
Freshman Maryland Representative Jamin B. (Jamie) Raskin may just be the most ironic man in Washington. Far-left Congressman Raskin has dedicated his life to two causes, fighting for the right of noncitizens to vote in US elections, and rejecting democratic outcomes for Americans.
Does Congressman Raskin not see the irony? Maybe somebody should tell him! Here are the details:
(1) Jamie Raskin tries to overturn elections every time a Republican wins the presidency.
You have probably heard of Jamie Raskin recently because right now he is spearheading the effort to have Donald Trump removed from office under the 25th Amendment of the Constitution for being “mentally unfit.” He is working to create the official-sounding “Oversight Commission on President Capacity” – because anyone who tweets like Trump must be an absolute madman. Nevermind that this is exactly what Trump supporters voted for.
You can read about that effort here.
But did you know that Jamie Raskin also tried to overturn a democratic election result when George W. Bush won the presidency? Yes, the very same Jamie Raskin spent four years of his life leading the legal effort to get the 2000 election of George W. Bush overturned.
As a law professor at American University, he called the Bush v. Gore decision that ended the 2000 presidential election recount the worst decision by the Supreme Court in American history . Worse, apparently, than the Dred Scott decision that upheld slavery.
All because the Supreme Court stopped a series of recounts that had gone on for over a month where Bush maintained a small lead the whole time (The Supreme Court changed no votes but merely decided to let the existing vote count stand).
His rage against the legitimacy of Bush continued in 2002 with the massive 60 page academic paper entitled,
In fact his determination to reject the election of President George W. Bush continued unabated. Next wrote an entire book wherein the biggest focus was to try to delegitimize the election of George W. Bush, the 2004 book ‘Overruling Democracy: The Supreme Court versus The American People’ which is devoted in large part to attacking the 2000 presidential election outcome.
Raskin’s efforts to reject the election of George W. Bush by convoluted legal arguments is highly relevant now that he is playing the same game once again the very next time a Republican President is voted into office. In short, Raskin tries to overturn Democratic outcomes whenever a Republican wins the White House.
Which is truly ironic when you realize that…
(2) Jamie Raskin is the #1 legal advocate for non-citizens to vote in America
The left is currently pretending that non-citizens never vote. But did you know that there are some places in America, pioneered by none other than Jamie Raskin, where non-citizens are actually allowed to vote in American elections?
Jamie Raskin wrote the groundbreaking academic work laying the foundation for noncitizen voting in America as a young professor with his 1991 paper
Then as a follow-up, Raskin led the successful effort to have his city of Takoma Park, Maryland become the only city in America to have officially sanctioned noncitizen voting in local elections. Raskin’s Takoma Park starting in 1992 was for a long time the only city in America to allow non-citizen voting, although several other towns have recently joined in this. The following links detail Raskin’s successful effort to achieve non-citizen voting in his city.

How would Americans feel if they knew that the man who repeatedly tries to invalidate democratic presidential election outcomes is the same man leading the charge for noncitizen voting? You just can’t make this stuff up!

Don Jr.’s Russia meeting wasn’t collusion — just amateur hour

(BY JONATHAN TURLEY AT THEHILL.COM) Washington began its week again with its collective Rorschach test: another Russian-related meeting that was immediately declared to be the “smoking gun” of criminal collusion or even “treason.” In the 1960s when Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach created his projective test, he found that people could reveal their motivations and perceptions in describing what they saw in amorphous inkblots.

In the continuing Russia Rorschach test, it turns out that every amorphous blob looks like a crime to media and many legal experts.

The latest is the disclosure of a meeting by Donald Trump Jr., son-in-law Jared Kushner, and then-Trump campaign aide Paul Manafort on June 9, 2016. Trump Jr. was told by a business acquaintance that a Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, had information implicating Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee in illegal foreign campaign contributions from Russia.

While the participants have said that the meeting lasted only about 20 minutes and that the lawyer offered nothing in terms of such evidence — and instead pivoted to a discussion of rescinding a ban on Russian adoptions — the media went into a frenzy as experts spotted images of crimes from treason to defrauding the United States to campaign finance violations.

Yesterday, The New York Times added to this frenzy by reporting that “Donald Trump Jr. was informed in an email that the material was part of a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy.” While I remain skeptical of the basis for a crime based on “collusion,” that would clearly be a significant development in supporting allegations of a knowing coordination with the Russians.

Today, Trump Jr. released his emails on Twitter. One states, “the crown prosecutor of Russia” had offered “to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.” Rod Goldstone, a publicist, stated, “This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr. Trump.”

That would clearly constitute at least initial communications and possible coordination between the Russians and the Trump campaign. However, the article raises more questions than answers. If the Russians were making such a play to influence the election in favor of Trump, this is a curious way of going about it. The most obvious question is why the Russians would call such a meeting but not actually produce any evidence or even substantive allegations.

One obvious explanation is that Trump Jr., Kushner, and Manafort fell for a classic bait-and-switch. Veselnitskaya was representing people seeking to lift the adoption ban, and it was certainly amateur hour in Trump Tower. If this is the best the Russians can do as their big play, we have little to worry about.

They question is whether the Trump team is a bunch of click-bait chumps or criminals. In other words, does any of this constitute a clear crime or even a vague inkblot image of a crime?

No, at least not on these facts.

Richard Painter, an ethics lawyer under former President George W. Bush, has declared that the meeting “borders on treason.” Article III defines treason as “levying War against [the United States], or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” Trump Jr. went to a meeting on the belief that a lawyer had evidence of criminal collusion by Clinton with a foreign power. That is a rather curious basis for a charge of treason and would make traitors of countless campaign operatives.

On CNN, viewers were told that this is the long-sought “smoking gun” on collusion. Norm Eisen, a White House ethics czar under former President Obama, reportedly has invoked the Logan Act — a law from 1799 that makes it a crime for citizens to intervene in disputes or controversies between the United States and foreign governments. It has never been used to convict a single U.S. citizen and is widely viewed as facially unconstitutional. Yet, when Eisen looks at this inkblot he reportedly sees a Logan Act case.

For Vermont Law professor Jennifer Taub, the inkblot looks like a conspiracy to defraud the United States. She believes that prosecutors could charge the participants with seeking to defraud the United States under 18 U.S.C. 371 by going to a meeting to hear evidence that another party may have committed a crime … against the United States. No such evidence was offered, and no further actions are known to have occurred. There has never been a case under 18 U.S.C. 371 that even remotely resembles such a distortive claim.

One image that a lot of experts see in these stories is a possible violation of the federal law banning foreign contributions to federal campaigns — ironically the very claim that the meeting was called to discuss with regard to Hillary Clinton. The relevant law is 36 U.S.C. 510, which bars direct or indirect contributions or other things of value from a foreign national. MSNBC justice and security analyst Matthew Miller said Trump Jr. could now go to jail because “it doesn’t have to be money … it can be, potentially, accepting information. So he’s potentially confessing in his statement to committing a crime.”

Of course, the crux is “other thing of value.” Under this approach, a court would have to include information as a thing of value like money and then declare that Trump Jr. solicited the information by agreeing to go to the meeting. If that were the case, the wide array of meetings by politicians and their aides with foreign nationals would suddenly become possible criminal violations.

It is common for foreign governments to withhold or take actions to influence elections in other countries. Information is often shared through various channels during elections from lobbyists, non-government organizations, and government officials. This includes former Clinton aide Alexandra Chalupa, who allegedly worked with Ukrainian government officials and journalists to come up with dirt on Trump and Manafort.

Consider the implications of such an unprecedented extension of the criminal code. The sharing of information — even possible criminal conduct by a leading political figure — would be treated the same as accepting cash. It would constitute a major threat to free speech, the free press and the right of association. It would also expose a broad spectrum of political speech to possible criminal prosecution.

Executive branch officials could then investigate campaigns on any meetings where information or tips might have originated from a foreign source. Such an expansion would likely hit challengers the hardest, since sitting presidents not only control the Justice Department, but the government has a myriad of back channels in communicating with foreign officials.

While those contacts could be dismissed as “official communications,” a challenger could be viewed as consorting with foreigners. Under this interpretation, the act of a foreign non-government organization or foreign academic feeding an American damaging information on Trump’s foreign investments or business activities could be viewed as a federal crime.

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University.

DESPITE CONTINUOUS ATTACKS, TRUMP GETTING THE JOB DONE

(By Roger Stone)  The old saying that goes; “give ’em enough rope and they’ll hang themselves” has never been more accurate than in the lynching that CNN and other fake news media has inflicted upon itself. They bet their whole pot on the Trump/Russia collusion story which has after an entire year has come up with zero. So, what now? An apology perhaps?  Maybe a mass firing of those “news” announcers who set a new all-time low for truth in reporting? We should be so lucky. No, they just change the angle of fire. Trump is still the target but the charge now is sexism.

For two days, I watched as CNN reported that Trump had really crossed the line when he complimented an Irish female reporter on her nice smile! It’s not even worth the attention I’m giving it if it weren’t for the fact that in reporting this, CNN has completely lost whatever was left of their credibility. Well instead of giving any more energy to that bunch of twits, I thought I’d mention a few of our president’s accomplishments in the few months he’s been in office.

THE STOCK MARKET:  Not since January of 1987 when Reagan was president has the DOW hit such record highs. Since the election of Donald Trump in November 2016, the closing stock market average has risen more than 15%. The S&P 500 broke $20 trillion for the first time in history. I list this as an accomplishment because it’s a show of confidence in our new president.

U.S. DEBT: Since Trump’s inauguration the amount of debt owed by the U.S. government has decreased by $100 billion. As a comparison, the debt under Obama grew more than $560 billion in his first three months.

MANUFACTURING:  Manufacturing index soared to a 33 year high in February.  Economists say Trump is the spark.

JOBS:  U.S. companies added around 298,000 jobs in Trump’s first few months.

NATO:  After president Trump requested that NATO countries bump up their spending, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg reported that allied spending was up $10 billion.

SUPREME COURT: President Trump’s nominee for Supreme Court Justice was confirmed and sworn in. He is Judge Neil Gorsuch.

GETTING GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY:  Donald Trump has done more to stop the Government from interfering in the lives of Americans in his first 100 days than any other President in history.

President Trump has signed 13 Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolutions in his first 100 days, more than any other President. These resolutions nullified unnecessary regulations and block agencies from reissuing them. These resolutions nullified unnecessary regulations and block agencies from reissuing them. Since CRA resolutions were introduced under President Clinton, they’ve been used only once, under President George W. Bush.

In office, President Trump has accomplished more in his first 100 days than any other President since Franklin Roosevelt. President Trump will have signed 30 executive orders during his first 100 days. Obama signed 19 executive orders during his first 100 days. President George W. Bush signed 11 executive orders during his first 100 days.  President Clinton signed 13 executive orders during his first 100 days.

A SLEW OF LEGISLATION SIGNED: Despite historic Democrat obstructionism, President Trump has worked with Congress to pass more legislation in his first 100 days than any President since Truman.  Trump has worked with Congress to enact 28 laws during the first 100 days of his Administration.  President Obama enacted 11 laws during his first 100 days and President George W. Bush enacted 7 laws during his first 100 days.

VETERANS: On April 19, 2017 Trump signed an extension of the Veterans Choice Act of 2014, which allowed veterans to seek medical care outside the VA system due to serious VA problems.

On June 2, 2017—President Trump signed a bill into law giving preference in federal grants to “federal and state law enforcement agencies that hire and train veterans”.

On June 23, 2017—President Trump signed the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistle Blower Protection Act into law (Trump described the law as “one of the largest reforms to the VA in its history”), which expanded protections for VA whistle blowers, gave the VA the authority to end bonuses to convicted employees, made quicker and easier the process for firing, suspending, and demoting employees.

On April 27, 2017—President Trump signed an executive order creating an office in the Department of Veterans Affairs to investigate obstacles preventing the VA from firing incompetent employees, and to protect those who reveal cases of incompetence in the department.

On June 5, 2017—The Department of Veterans Affairs announced I would adopt the same medical records system as the Defense Department in order to bring better care for veterans.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE: On June 2, 2017—President Trump signed a bill into law to reduce the backlog of families of fallen police officers waiting to receive benefits due to their status.

On February 2017—Under President Trump, Attorney General Sessions rescinded an Obama Administration memo that directed the Bureau of Prisons to begin phasing out private prisons.

On February 9, 2017—President Trump signed three executive orders pertaining to law enforcement. The first cracked down and strengthens the law against international crime organizations, the second deals with anti-law enforcement crimes, and third with finding a strategy for reducing crime in general, “including, in particular, illegal immigration, drug trafficking, and violent crime.”

April 13, 2017-Under President Trump, The Justice Department prosecuted two doctors and one other for practicing female genital mutilation– the first such prosecutions under a federal law passed by Congress in 1996 prohibiting the practice.

On May 11, 2017—Attorney General Sessions ended Obama and Eric Holder’s policy of pursuing light sentences for criminals when he ordered federal prosecutors to pursue “the most serious and readily provable offense” committed by those under prosecution.

June 30, 2017—The Trump Administration sent 20 ATF agents to Chicago to help the city fight gun violence.  The local US Attorney said the same day that his office had already prosecuted more Chicago gun cases in 2017 than it had done throughout the entire 2016.

GUN RIGHTS: On February 28, 2017, President Trump signed a bill into law (Public Law 115-8) repealing a Social Security Administration rule adding mental disability determinations to the background check registry, subject to a person applying to be removed from the list. Congress had passed a law requiring federal agencies to search their records for people who were “mentally defective” and the Social Security Administration had published their method of gathering names on December 16, 2016.

The regulation would have added the names of disability beneficiaries who have a mental illness or are not competent to manage their own finances, potentially leading to the removal of Second Amendment rights to many perfectly competent, mentally healthy citizens. By signing the resolution of disapproval, as with other CRA acts, the Social Security Administration cannot come up with different criteria for supplying names to the background check registry for 10 years.

IMMIGRATION, BORDER SECURITY:  January 27, 2017—Trump signed an executive order indefinitely banning the admission of Syrian refugees, suspending the overall refugee program for 120 days, suspending entry and the issuing of visas from seven failed Middle Eastern countries for at least 90 days, and reducing the number of refugees allowed into the nation during the fiscal year from 110,000 to 50,000.

H.R. 244, which was signed into law by President Trump on May 5, 2017, and funded the government through September 30, 2017, did not include funding for several of President Trump’s priorities, such as defunding sanctuary cities and building new sections of the border wall. However, it did include an additional $1.5 billion in border security funding, including money to repair 40 miles of existing border barrier sections and to increase funding for ICE and Customs and Border Protection.

On March 6, 2017—President Trump signed a second executive order regarding the temporary suspension of refugees and others from certain high-risk countries after the first one was blocked by the courts.

On April 18, 2017, President Trump signed an executive order restricting the H-1B visa to give the hiring preference to American workers and enacting stronger enforcement of laws requiring the use of American-made materials in federal projects

EDUCATION: On April 26, 2017—President Trump signed an executive order ordering Secretary of Education Betsy De Vos to review Department of Education regulations, with the intention of returning power to the states and local governments.

“President Trump issued a sweeping review of federal education policies on Wednesday in an executive order to pinpoint areas where the government may be overstepping in shaping operations of local school systems.  The order requires Betsy DeVos, Mr. Trump’s education secretary, to review, modify and possibly repeal any regulations and guidelines that are not consistent with federal law.  President Trump described the order as “another critical step to restoring local control,” and one that fulfills one of his campaign promises.”

President Trump signed two resolutions that roll back Obama-era regulations that inform state education officials how they are supposed to implement the new federal education law, the Every Student Succeeds Act.

The first resolution prevents the Department of Education from dictating prescriptive requirements for how states and school districts measure achievement, using metrics such as school ratings, timelines for interventions for failing schools and student participation in state assessments. The second resolution negates a rule that dictates specific requirements states must use to determine the effectiveness of teacher-preparation programs.

ECONOMIC POLICY: On June 15, 2017—President Trump signed executive orders to loosen federal regulations on job-training programs and to encourage apprenticeships and vocational learning.

TRADE POLICY: On January 23, 2017, Trump signed an order which withdrew the United States from the globalist Trans-Pacific Partnership.

On March 31, 2017, President Trump signed two orders. The first order instituted a crackdown on violations of anti-dumping laws and help to officials to collect penalties already owed to the U.S. The second order ordered a report by the Dept. of Commerce and the U.S. Trade Representative on the causes of the U.S. trade deficit due within 90 days.

On April 20, 2017, President Trump signed a memorandum directing the Dept. of Commerce to investigate whether steel imports pose a threat to U.S. national security.

On April 25, 2017, after Canada changed its milk pricing policy, putting U.S. farmers at a severe disadvantage, the Trump Administration imposed tariffs at rates up to 24% on Canadian lumber imports.

On April 27, 2017, President Trump signed a memorandum opening a Department of Commerce investigation into whether the high level of aluminum imports constitutes a threat to U.S. national security.

On June 12, 2017—The U.S. and China made an agreement that would allow American beef products to be exported to China.

President Donald Trump said he will not immediately quit NAFTA, according to a White House statement released late Wednesday evening. Instead, Trump will work with Mexico’s President Peña Nieto, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to renegotiate the deal. “It is my privilege to bring NAFTA up to date through renegotiation. It is an honor to deal with both President Peña Nieto and Prime Minister Trudeau, and I believe that the end result will make all three countries stronger and better,” Trump said in the statement.

FOREIGN POLICY:  After the Syrian government used chemical weapons on its people, President Trump ordered a one-time airstrike against a Syrian air base, firing 60 cruise missiles at it.  The U.S. destroyed about 20 Syrian jet planes and caused extremely heavy damage on the base.  Defense Secretary James Mattis stated the attacks destroyed 20% of Syria’s operational aircraft.

On April 13, 2017the U.S. dropped a GBU-43B (also known as MOAB or the “Mother Of All bombs”), the largest non-nuclear bomb in existence at 21,000 pounds on a complex of Islamic State tunnels in Afghanistan.  Although tested in 2003, the bomb had never been used in combat before.  It caused much damage, being estimated to have killed at least 94 ISIS fighters, including four commanders – no civilians were killed.  It also destroyed several of the tunnels as well as weapon stockpiles.

Despite 24 hour accusations and endless ranting from the fake news media (CNN, MSNBC et.al.), our President has managed to do a few things. With the liberal fake news pundits devoting 95% of their air time to trashing Trump, it’s no wonder most of these and many more accomplishments of President Trump have gone unreported.
